On the hill above Sarandë stands Lekurësi Castle, an Ottoman-era fortress built in 1537. It is small, but the reason to come is the view: the whole bay of Sarandë, the islands of Ksamil and, on a clear day, the Greek island of Corfu.

There is a restaurant within the walls, which makes it the best sunset spot in town — arrive an hour before dusk, order something cold, and watch the coast turn gold.
Good to know: it is a short drive or a steep walk up from the centre of Sarandë.
